Several months ago my wife and I were driving home from dinner with a couple several years older than us. Angela and I are in our mid-late forties, parenting teens. We love this stage so much. The couple we were visiting is a few miles ahead of us, their grandkids are about the same age or a little younger than our children. It struck me that we’ve always been drawn to couples like this. As we get older, we admire more the faithful Christian men and women who have walked with God for a while, who have born up under hardship, who have seen the Lord guide them through tumult and triumph.
