I know you are all tired of Black Friday and Cyber Monday emails from every retailer under the sun, so I will make this one short. I wanted to let you know about two really cool opportunities with two of my most recent books:
A Way With Words, which released in August from B&H, is available at a special price at Lifeway.com. All this week it's $10, which is the cheapest I've seen it anywhere. I am optimistic about the conversations this book is creating about the way we use social media and the internet. The Gospel Coalition called it "well-written, humorous at times and, because it’s rooted in Scripture, convicting in a way that’s compelling without being preachy."
So if you were thinking about getting it, this price from Lifeway is pretty good. Of course it's available anywhere you buy books, so if you have that Amazon gift card burning a hole in your pocket, I won't object!
Secondly, I know you are thinking about Christmas and, like me, have probably been secretly playing Christmas music since the first of November. No shame. 2020 gives us a mulligan on that unwritten rule (that I've always disagreed with BTW).
Well, my book The Characters of Christmas is available this year. And quite a few churches and groups are doing it as a theme for this year. We have a ton of cool resources to help you do that, from study guides to invite cards to church decorations, etc. If you are interested, you can find them here at the book site. Also, Moody has significant bulk discounts for churches. You can email them at church@moody.edu or call them at (800) 678-8812. A couple other cool resources: I recorded a Characters of Christmas podcast for Lifeaudio and Youversion has a devotional.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season. This is a most unusual year, but we know that we can bring our sorrows and our pain to the one who dwelt among us.
Sincerely,
Dan
