Leadership Global and Local: Two Helpful Conversations
I chat with Chris Seiple about religious freedom and a troubled world and I chat with Andrew Hebert about faithful, local shepherding leadership.
The world is in turmoil, with war, rising inflation, a refugee, and a hunger crisis, and leadership is hard both globally and locally. So I had conversations with two leaders about this.
First up: Chris Seiple, who is a seasoned diplomat and advocate for international religious freedom. Chris is a Marine, he has served in various roles in the government, including the State Department, and has traveled the world. He’s also taught religion and international relations at places like Tufts and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Chris is an evangelical Christian and has a keen sense of events on the global stage. We had a wide-ranging conversation about Russia, Ukraine, the importance of religious freedom, evangelicals in the world, etc. You won’t want to miss it:

Next, I spoke with pastor Andrew Hebert. Andrew is the pastor of Paramount Church in Amarillo, TX, and is a leader in the Southern Baptist Convention. He’s got a PhD from SBTS in leadership. He’s written a book, Shepherding Like Jesus.
I talked to Andrew about shepherding as a dominant model of leadership, leading through the last few years of turmoil, and the most important characteristics for pastors.
