If you haven't figured this out, it’s an election year in the United States. And not just any election year, but a Presidential contest between two unlikeable old men at the far end of their political careers, a sequel most Americans would rather not watch.
When I talk to Christian leaders around the country, they are nervous about how to lead in this moment. Weary and worn from 2016 to 2020 and every year in between, they want to help their people navigate the election well and keep their people unified and focused on the church's mission. So how do we do this?
It’s helpful to think of this moment in terms of keywords. So here are seven that can serve as a guide for faithful leadership in 2024:
