I haven’t moved much in my life. I was born in raised in the Chicago area and lived there until I was 35, then we moved to Nashville, and now we are here in Fort Worth. As a kid, we moved houses three times, all in the same general area. I have friends who have moved quite a bit, some every 2-3 years because of the nature of their jobs.

Every move I’ve made has been bittersweet. Bitter in that you are leaving a place you love and sweet because you are going to an exciting new place, with a chance to make new friends and build new routines and embrace a new city. This is ok. Unless you are leaving a situation that is traumatic, this is always how moves go.
